POST
IMPRESSIONISM

Continuing on from the previous "IMPRESSIONISM", this exhibition focuses on the artworks of iconic "post-impressionist" artists Van Gogh, Gauguin, Seurat, and Cezanne. Heavily influenced by impressionism in the late 19th century, the post impressionists updated this art through their unique styles. These groups of works have been reproduced through digital technology and their distinctive techniques, the creative process, and the relationship between the artists and their influence on one another are showcased as an immersive experience.

Official Ambassador of "Immersive Museum" TOKYO 2023

Yuka Kageyama

[Ambassador Greeting]
I am incredibly honored to be appointed ambassador of the Immersive Museum 2023. I visited the museum last year in my private time and I never imagined that there’d come a day when we’d be able to work together and was absolutely thrilled when I received the offer. This year’s theme, “post-impressionism”, is a world with so many angles that it cannot be fitted neatly into just one period of time. This Immersive Museum doesn’t only introduce how masterpieces were painted and what makes them unique but it is also a cutting edge exhibition that focuses on the relationships between the painters as well as their emotional journeys. I can’t wait to see them myself. As the name “Immersive Museum” says for itself, I hope that you will take this opportunity to lean in and immerse yourself in the world of post-impressionism.

[Profile]
Initial member of the idol group Hinatazaka 46. May 2016, Kageyama started as the member of the predecessor group Keyakizaka 46. February 2019, the group changed its name to Hinatazaka 46 from where they debuted with their single “Kyun” in March. Kageyama made her screen debut as Miko Iino in “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Love is War-Final” released in August 2021. A soccer super-fan, Kageyama is a licensed Class 4 Referee and became the woman of the hour during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 when she appeared on different soccer programs equipped with her strategic mind and flawless commentary; even predicting the winning team. She announced that she would be graduating from Hinatazaka 46 after the April 2023 release of their 9th single, “One Choice”. Graduated from Hinatazaka 46 on July 23.
